Over 52 lakh farmers registered on NCCF-NAFED portals

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah informed that a total of 41,40,566 farmers have registered on the e-Samyukti portal of NCCF, while 11,02,573 farmers have registered on the e-Samridhi portal of NAFED.

He further stated that the Ministry of Cooperation has launched an initiative to incentivize the production of pulses (tur, masur, and urad) to reduce dependency on imports, and encourage maize cultivation for ethanol production under the Ethanol Blending Programme (EBP).

This is being implemented through the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation (NCCF) and the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India (NAFED).

Both agencies have developed their own farmer registration portals, e-Samyukti (NCCF) and e-Samridhi (NAFED), to enroll farmers through cooperatives.

They have also assured 100% procurement at Minimum Support Price (MSP) from pre-registered farmers growing tur, urad, masur, and maize. However, if market prices exceed the MSP, farmers are free to sell their produce in the open market.
