While hearing a petition, Orissa High Court has ruled that only cooperative registrar has the power to remove a director of Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB) reports Odishatv.in.
The petition had been moved by Mahendra Naik one of the directors of the bank.
High Court said the bank’s managing director and president have no role in the removal of a director.
Earlier, as directed by the president, the bank’s MD had issued show-cause notice to Mahendra Naik asking them why he should not be sacked for dereliction of duty.
