Omprakash Deora Co-op Bank hosts Training Program

The Maharashtra Urban Cooperative Banks Federation organized a one-day training programme for urban cooperative banks of the Marathwada region on Wednesday at the head office of Omprakash Deora Peoples Cooperative Bank, Hingoli.

The programme was conducted for chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, board members, chief executive officers, general managers, and senior officials representing urban cooperative banks from across the region.

Several eminent personalities from the cooperative banking sector were present on the occasion, including Federation President Ajay Brahmecha, Federation Director Ratnakar Kadam, Marathwada Urban Banks Association President Satyanarayan Lohia, Mumbai Association Director Diliprao Chavan, and Federation CEO Prasad Patil, among others.

The bank’s President Prakashchand Soni, Vice-President Sunil Deora, and BOM Chairman Marotrao Budruk extended a warm welcome to the participants and felicitated senior leaders of the urban cooperative banking sector.

The training programme comprised three technical sessions. In the first session, former Reserve Bank of India General Manager S.V. Satpute gave a detailed presentation on RBI guidelines and addressed queries raised by participants.

The second session focused on income tax–related issues faced by cooperative banks and was conducted by retired Income Tax Commissioner K.C. Kanojia. The concluding session, on financial year-end management and compliance, was led by noted banking expert Dilip Pendse.

Around 120 participants from various urban cooperative banks across Marathwada attended the programme. The event was moderated by Sudhir Mule, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Managing Director Sudhir Jalanapure.
