A vigilance team recently conducted raids at Mallasahi Cooperative Society in Kujang block in Jagatsinghpur, Odisha and examined the documents regarding crop insurance disbursal to 2020 flood affected farmers under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, reports New Indian Express.
The team seized several files for investigation.
The raids were carried out action after mother of social activist Adwait Das filed an FIR in Kujang police station against officials of Hansura and Badabalikani panchayats and Mallasahi primary agricultural cooperative society (PACS) alleging their involvement in threatening her family by sending local goons.
Adwait has been demanding action against those involved in irregularities and financial misappropriation.
