The Odisha State Cooperative Bank (OSCB) has won First Prize in the Large State–Cooperative Bank category for outstanding implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), media reports say.
The recognition was announced at the 13th National Review Conference of PMFBY held in Bengaluru on January 18-19. During Kharif 2024, OSCB played a key role in enrolling a large share of farmers under the scheme, contributing significantly to Odisha’s total coverage of 22.41 lakh farmers.
The award reflects OSCB’s strong outreach, effective coordination and commitment to protecting farmers through crop insurance.
