Odisha State Cooperative Bank has become a leading cooperative bank in the country with its considerable banking business in the state. The bank boasts 14 branches and has oversight of 17 District central cooperatives, reports Orrisadiary.com.
The bank founded in 1948 has had a remarkable performance in providing agriculture loans in recent years. . The bank uses a vast network of 2706 Pacs across the state in carrying out its responsibilities.
The Bank provided agriculture loan during the financial year 2015-16 to the extent of Rs.9572.00 crore to 32 lakhs of farmers which is 15% more than the loans disbursed during 2014-15.
A recent evaluation on the performance of various banks including cooperative banks done by the state govt has revealed that OSCB has emerged as one of the best performers in all parameters.
