Odisha govt will not hold elections to management committees of 1,926 primary cooperative societies whose tenures were coming to an end in January 2020, media reports say.
Worried about the financial condition of these cooperative societies, the state govt will try to improve their financial conditions, say reports. State Co-operation Minister had expressed his concern about the financial crisis prevailing in cooperative bodies.
The State Cooperation department, has asked the Registrar of Cooperative Societies to redress the imbalance in loan amounts to co-op bodies.
