With a view to checking graft and ensuring transparency in PACS, Odisha Government plans to introduce cadre system among the PACS secretaries and wish to introduce transfer mechanism, reports Express News Service.
This was part of the recommendations of the standing committee of Odisha state legislative assembly. PACS are being linked with District Central Cooperative Banks (DCCBs) through core banking solutions.
Odisha has 2,708 PACS engaged in paddy procurement and supply of seeds, fertilisers and agricultural equipment to farmers.
