In a major boost to the cooperative banking sector, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) conducted a high-impact training programme in Ahmedabad, Gujarat last week, exclusively for Cooperative Banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs).
The event witnessed participation from over 200 delegates representing more than 100 banks, reflecting the sector’s strong commitment to digital transformation.
The programme focused on enhancing technical readiness, strengthening operational efficiency, and introducing new product upgrades in the digital payments’ ecosystem.
Officials highlighted the growing role of cooperative banks in driving financial inclusion at the grassroots level. With increasing adoption of digital platforms in rural and semi-urban areas, the training aimed to equip banks with the necessary tools to deliver secure, seamless, and customer-friendly payment services.
The enthusiastic participation of Cooperative Banks and RRBs underscored their forward-looking approach toward innovation.
