NLCF Director Sarang joins Shivraj Cabinet

While NLCF has been in the news last week on account of its MD’s superannuation, one of its Directors Vishwas Sarang has hit the headlines becoming a Minister in the Shivraj Singh Chauhan cabinet in Madhya Pradesh.

The young and energetic cooperator is backed by a solid political legacy as his father Kailash Sarang is held as a formidable BJP politician in the state. Talking of his following one of his fans recollects how Apollo hospital in Delhi was thronged by his supporters where he was admitted for an ailment in the past.

Vishwas himself has been two time MLA. He was sworn in as a Minister in Madhya Pradesh cabinet on the day R M Pandey severed his 35 years old ties with the NLCF.

This is the second time he has been elected Director on the Board of the NLCF, informed Ashok Dabas. ‘You would find few people matching his zeal and caliber in the cooperative sector”, Dabas added singing pigeons of Sarang.

Vishwas is also a long serving Chairman of the “MP Minor – Forest Produce Cooperative Federation, Bhopal. He is Director on the board of Indian Healthcare & Hospitality Coop. Ltd., New Delhi. “An able son of senior BJPMP Stalwart Shri Kailash Sarang” Dabas concluded.

The NLCF staff members were jubilant at the breaking news as they felt with Sarang’s ascendancy in higher echelons of power the cooperative federation would get its due from the state. Readers would note that the last Board meeting assigned each Director the task of fetching business for the cooperative organization.
