New Liquidator for Samruddha Jeevan Multi-State Co-op

The Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS), Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India, has appointed a new liquidator for Samruddha Jeevan Multi State Multi Purpose Cooperative Society Ltd., Pune, registered under the Multi-State Co-operative Societies Act, 2002.

As per an order issued under Section 89(1) of the Act, the Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Pune City-6, under the Office of the Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Government of Maharashtra, has been appointed as the liquidator of the society until further orders.

The appointment comes in place of Anand Katke, Deputy Registrar (Urban Bank Section), who was earlier appointed as liquidator in September 2020. His tenure had been extended in August 2022. However, following his transfer to the post of District Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Mumbai-3, the Maharashtra cooperation department informed the Centre that continuing his role as liquidator was not feasible due to the distance between Mumbai and Pune.

Based on the recommendation of the Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Maharashtra, the Central Registrar approved the new appointment after reviewing the matter.

The order also directs the newly appointed liquidator to take further necessary action in accordance with the provisions of the Act and Rules and to submit quarterly status reports on the progress of the liquidation process to the Office of the Central Registrar.
