The Board of District Co-operative Banks in Uttarakhand has asked the co-operative bank to start net banking facilities soon, Media reports say.
There are a co-operative bank and ten district co-operative banks in Uttarakhand. There are about 12 lakh customers connected with the two banks.
Four lakh farmers of 759 co-operative societies of the state are also associated with these banks.
Proposal had been sent to RBI for starting net banking. NABARD has already inspected the branches of banks for net banking.
