Four officials of Laliguras Multi-Purpose Cooperative, including Chairman Amar Das Shrestha, were arrested in Kathmandu for allegedly embezzling Rs 6.30 billion from 22,000 depositors.
The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, led by SSP Sanuram Bhattarai, held a press conference to disclose the detentions.
He informed that the accused include the cooperative’s Secretary, Treasurer, and a board member.
