Dairy Farmers associated with Kaira Milk Union, Anand were imparted skill-based beekeeping training organised by NDDB under National Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) scheme with the support of National Bee Board.
It is worth a mention that the central govt sees beekeeping as one of the alternative sources of income for the farmers. Several cooperative bodies including Nafed are involved in helping farmers set up Honey FPOs.
Earlier, NDDB had organized a training programme on scientific beekeeping in association with National Bee Board under National Beekeeping and Honey Mission at Nashik.
NDDB had also conducted a seven-day training program on scientific beekeeping at Katarva in Banaskantha district of Gujarat.
