The National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI), in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries (DoF), Government of India, is organising a National Webinar on “Empowering Fish Farmers through NFDP” on January 7, 2026, at 3:00 PM. The webinar aims to bring together key stakeholders associated with the fisheries sector to create awareness about various welfare schemes and initiatives of the Department of Fisheries.
The event will focus on how the National Fisheries Development Programme (NFDP) can help strengthen fish farmers, improve livelihoods, and promote sustainable growth in the fisheries sector.
Sagar Mehra, Joint Secretary, Department of Fisheries, Government of India, will attend the webinar as the Chief Guest. Dr. Sudhir Mahajan, IAS (Retd.), Chief Executive, NCUI, will be the Special Guest.
The webinar will be streamed live on YouTube, allowing participants from across the country to join and benefit from the discussions. Stakeholders, cooperative institutions, and fish farmers have been invited to participate and share the information widely.
