NCUI and IFFCO President Dileepbhai Sanghani visited the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) headquarters during his trip to Brussels, Belgium.
He was accompanied by NCUI Deputy CEO Savitri Singh. Sanghani was warmly welcomed by the ICA Director General Bruno Roelants and other staff members.
Soon after his visit to the ICA headquarters, NCUI’s official twitter handle wrote, “Shri Dileep_Sanghani, President and Dy Chief Executive of NCUI visited ICA and had a meeting with the Director General, Director of Law and Admin Manager of ICA at Brussels. NCUI role at G-20, possible inputs from ICA in formation of new coop policy was discussed”.
Readers would recall that Sanghani had gone to Brussels to attend the meeting of the International Raiffeisen Union.
ICA is the apex body representing cooperatives, which are estimated to be around 3 million worldwide, providing a global voice and forum for knowledge, expertise and co-ordinated action for and about cooperatives.
