The National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) organised a one-day Awareness Programme on “Cooperation” for the students of Bhagini Nivedita College, University of Delhi, on Tuesday.

The programme aimed to familiarise young students with the principles of cooperation and highlight the role of youth in strengthening the cooperative movement.

The Executive Directors of NCUI, Ritesh Dey and Rajeev Sharma, addressed the students and explained the importance of youth participation in cooperatives, along with insights into successful cooperative business models. Dr. Amit Kumar, Faculty Member of Bhagini Nivedita College, facilitated the academic linkages and coordinated the programme.

Mrs. Savitri Singh, Deputy Chief Executive, NCUI, interacted with the participants and shared valuable perspectives on the cooperative sector and its opportunities.

A total of 39 students participated enthusiastically in the programme. To provide practical exposure, a visit to the NCUI Haat was organised, where students learned about products from various cooperatives and self-help groups. The programme concluded with an interactive discussion and expressions of appreciation from the participants.
