The inaugural ceremony of a three-day Leadership Development Programme for Chairpersons and Directors of Dairy Cooperatives across India was held on 29 July 2025 at the National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE), New Delhi.
The programme, scheduled from 29 to 31 July 2025, has drawn participation from 75 representatives of dairy cooperatives from various states including Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Assam, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and others.
During the inauguration, Smt. Savitri Singh, Deputy Chief Executive of NCUI, interacted with the participants and outlined the objectives of the programme. The training aims to strengthen leadership capacity and understanding of cooperative governance among dairy cooperative leaders.
Key focus areas of the programme include the philosophy and values of cooperatives, the National Cooperative Policy 2025, and new initiatives by the Ministry of Cooperation.
The participants also attended exclusive sessions conducted by Dr. Jamuna Valsalan, Assistant Commissioner, Ministry of Animal Husbandry and Dairying. Her sessions covered critical topics such as government schemes for dairy development, business development challenges and opportunities, and hygienic milk production, processing, and storage protocols.
The programme will conclude on 31 July 2025, offering valuable insights to strengthen the functioning and impact of dairy cooperatives across the country.
