NCUI: NCCE training on “Cooperation and Co-op Management”

The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) of the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) successfully conducted a two-day training programme on “Cooperation and Cooperative Management” for the officials of the Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) Plant at Aonla, Uttar Pradesh from 29th to 30th April 2025.

The programme aimed to strengthen the knowledge and managerial skills of cooperative personnel, and to foster an understanding of the evolving cooperative landscape in India. The sessions were structured around a range of core topics crucial to the efficient and sustainable operation of cooperatives.

Anant Dubey, Deputy Director, NCUI, delivered sessions covering the History and Concept of Cooperatives, Values and Principles, and the Formation and Management of Cooperative Societies.

He also spoke on the Role of Social Media in Cooperatives, highlighting its importance in communication, outreach, and engagement with stakeholders, Recent initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Cooperation and explained the functions and activities of NCUI in supporting and strengthening the cooperative movement.

S.C. Pradhan, Principal, Delhi State Cooperative Training Centre (DSCTC), led sessions on Bye laws, RGB member, Management Practices in IFFCO, Digitalisation and Use of Technology in Cooperatives, and Human Resource Management (HRM) and Communication, Role of Cooperatives in Agriculture and Rural Development — key areas for modern cooperative development and organizational effectiveness.

The programme was well-received by IFFCO officials, who appreciated the relevance and practical application of the topics discussed. It concluded with an interactive session.
