Manvendra Singh, the nephew of Uttarakhand veteran cooperator Late Pramod Kumar Singh has been co-opted as a member of the governing council of apex body-NCUI, in the last board meeting.
An official notification released from the NCUI reads, “As per the decision of the 204th meeting of governing council of NCUI held on 01-11-2021, Shri Manvendra Singh, Managing Director, Farmers Agri Business-Cooperative Society Ltd. has been co-opted as a member, governing council, NCUI in terms of the provision under Bye-law No. 15 (xxii) of NCUI bye-laws for the remaining period of the term of governing council of NCUI”.
It is reported that the board member and Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh proposed his name and later on it was unanimously approved by the other board members.
Meanwhile, several of his opponents are not happy with his co-option on the board of NCUI.
