A three-day training programme on “Responsible Governance, Compliance and Sustainability” for Cooperative Information Officers was jointly inaugurated on Tuesday by the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) in collaboration with GUJCOMASOL at Gandhinagar.
The inaugural session took place in the presence of NCUI President Dileep Sanghani, NCUI Vice-President G.H. Amin, NCUI Chief Executive Sudhir Mahajan, and GUJCOMASOL Chief Executive Dinesh Suthar, among other dignitaries.
The programme was described as more than a technical workshop-it serves as a vital platform to strengthen the communication and outreach of India’s cooperative movement.
Speakers underlined that cooperatives today are not merely economic entities but also powerful instruments of social transformation. Participants were urged to leverage digital tools and social media to effectively share success stories of cooperation with the wider world.
Recalling the ICA Global Cooperative Conference held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, in November 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had called for “Global Peace through Cooperation,” while Union Minister for Cooperation Amit Shah emphasized “Prosperity through Cooperation.” Delivering the valedictory address at that global event, the NCUI representative had given a call for a “peaceful and bloodless revolution through cooperation.”
