In a surprising move, Uttarakhand-based Nainital District Cooperative Bank Chairman and NCUI former GC member Rajendra Singh Negi is back in congress ahead of the State Legislative Assembly Elections.
Readers would recall that in the last assembly elections of the state, he had joined the BJP but now he is back to his parent party.
He joined the party in the presence of the former cooperative minister Yashpal Arya on Thursday at the district congress party office. Negi is said to be a close associate of Arya.
Negi has a considerable influence in the cooperative sector and for many years he has been the Chairman of DCCB. Interestingly, the former Chief Minister Harish Rawat is fighting the election from the Lalkuan seat which falls under the Nainital-Udhamsingh Nagar Lok Sabha constituency.
