According to Indian Express reports, NCP’s rebel candidates won against the official candidates in the elections of Pune Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC).
The Sarva Pakshiya Annasaheb Magar Shetkari Vikas Panel, backed by the BJP, won 13 of the 18 directorships while the NCP-backed Annasaheb Magar Cooperative Panel won just 5.
The elections were held after 20 years. There were clear divisions in NCP between the young Turks and the old guards.
