NCP advocates ‘Co-op Stack’ for data-driven decision-making

The National Cooperative Policy (NCP) proposes to facilitate the design and development of a ‘Cooperative Stack’ to enable data-driven decision-making and improve service delivery across the cooperative ecosystem.

This initiative aims to consolidate high-quality data within cooperatives and make it easily accessible to stakeholders for innovation and the development of new services.

The proposed stack may be built on the foundation of the existing National Cooperative Database (NCD), integrating other relevant databases and ensuring compatibility with the Agri-stack.

This integration would, among other things, enable the seamless exchange of data between cooperative banks and the Ministry of Agriculture’s database, allowing for real-time release of interest subvention and other government benefits.
