National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) and Markfed Punjab signed a landmark MoU in Chandigarh on March 24, 2026, marking a major step toward strengthening India’s cooperative export ecosystem.
The agreement was signed by NCEL Managing Director Unupom Kausik and Markfed Punjab Managing Director Girish Dayalan. The partnership aims to expand the global footprint of Punjab’s agricultural produce while empowering farmers and cooperative institutions.
Officials said the collaboration will help build sustainable value chains, enhance market access, and boost export potential. The initiative is expected to further the vision of “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” by integrating cooperatives into global trade and driving rural prosperity through exports.
