NCDC workshop on Model Bye-laws in Sarguja, Chhattisgarh

The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) organized a one-day workshop on “Dissemination of Model Bye-laws” at the Collectorate Auditorium, Sarguja district, Chhattisgarh last week.

The workshop was part of NCDC’s initiatives under the International Year of Cooperatives 2025 and to commemorate four successful years of the Ministry of Cooperation. The event focused on one of the ministry’s 60 key initiatives, transforming PACS into multi-purpose entities through the adoption of model bye-laws.

Over 100 members from PACS and FPOs across Sarguja and Surajpur districts participated in the workshop. The programme was coordinated by Kinchit Joshi, Regional Director, NCDC Raipur, who encouraged participants to actively engage with expert sessions and raise their queries. He also urged them to formulate suitable proposals under various NCDC schemes.

The keynote address was delivered by Smt. Shilpa Agrawal, Deputy Commissioner (Cooperation) and Deputy Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Sarguja, who explained the significance of model bye-laws.

Other sessions included lectures by Anupam Tiwari (DDM, NABARD, Sarguja) on ERP Software, R. Chouksey (KVK Head) on community irrigation and custom hiring, and Vaibhav Kumar (Asst. Director, NCDC) on NCDC schemes.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all dignitaries and participants.
