As part of the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) organised a three-day Residential Workshop for Young Professionals (Marketing) from December 9 to 11, 2025, at the LINAC campus in Gurugram. The programme was attended by 25 Young Professionals drawn from NCDC’s Regional and Satellite Offices across the country.

Addressing the participants, NCDC Managing Director Pankaj K. Bansal, IAS, urged them to focus on preparing viable and innovative project proposals, extend effective handholding support to cooperatives, strengthen coordination with State Government officials to accelerate cooperative-led development. He highlighted the growing role of marketing professionals in improving the sustainability and outreach of cooperative institutions.

The workshop included detailed sessions on NCDC schemes, cooperative business models, practical case studies, and interactive group exercises aimed at building analytical and field-level skills. Active participation by officials from the Planning and Coordination Division at NCDC Headquarters enriched discussions, making the workshop engaging, informative, and relevant for young professionals nationwide.
