The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) Regional Awards for Cooperative Excellence and Merit 2025 were successfully held at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, marking a significant celebration of cooperative achievements in the region.
Organised by the NCDC Regional Office, Vijayawada, the awards ceremony was conducted as the grand finale of Sahakar Utsav 3.0, a sports and cultural event hosted by the Andhra Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (APCOB). The event formed part of the nationwide observances under the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, highlighting the growing role of cooperatives in India’s development journey.
The ceremony was graced by senior officials of the cooperative sector, including the Person-in-Charge (PIC) of APCOB, PIC of Krishna District Central Cooperative Bank (DCCB), the Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies, and the Managing Director of APCOB. The dignitaries honoured cooperative institutions for their outstanding contributions to financial inclusion, innovation, and grassroots development.
Awards were conferred across multiple categories, including Best Primary Agricultural Credit Cooperative Societies (PACS), Best Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) Cooperatives, and societies implementing flagship initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation, Government of India. The awardees were recognised for exemplary performance, sound financial discipline, and innovative service delivery.
Winners received cash prizes of Rs 35,000 under the Excellence Award category and Rs 25,000 under the Merit Award category, along with mementos and certificates.
