NCDC organises Awareness Program on Life-Saving Skills
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The National Cooperative Development Corporation, in collaboration with Venkateshwar Hospital, Dwarka, New Delhi, organised a one-day public awareness talk programme on basic life-saving techniques under the banner “Safety and Healthy Lifestyle.” The programme focused on practical training and awareness related to cardiopulmonary resuscitation, basic first aid, and emergency response to dog and snake bites.

Medical professionals from Venkateshwar Hospital conducted interactive sessions, explaining the importance of timely intervention during medical emergencies and demonstrating correct techniques for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Participants were sensitised to the critical steps required to stabilise victims until professional medical help arrives, particularly in situations where delays can be life-threatening.

Special emphasis was placed on first aid responses to dog and snake bites, addressing common misconceptions and highlighting evidence-based practices. The programme aimed to equip participants with essential knowledge and confidence to act effectively when emergencies arise.

The initiative reflects NCDC’s broader commitment to community welfare by promoting health awareness and preventive education alongside its role in strengthening cooperative institutions and sustainable development.
