NCDC: Meghalaya CM to launch India’s largest Piggery Project

Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad Sangma will launch India’s Largest Piggery Project as a step towards Atma Nirbhar Bharat in NCDC’s headquarters in Delhi on Thursday i.e. 10th September 2020. Deputy CM Preston Tynsong will also be present on the occasion.

It is estimated that this project will benefit 35,000 pig farmers in the state and 5000 unemployed youth will get livelihood. This would provide a regular source of income to members of 300 PACCS.

Several other distinguished dignitaries will grace the occasion. NCDC MD Sundeep Nayak (IAS) will deliver the welcome address, reveals a press invite mailed by NCDC.

“Besides launching the Meghalaya Piggery Mission, CM will deliver the keynote address and special address would be given by the Deputy CM of Meghalaya”, reads the media invite.

ICAR, DDG (AS), Agriculture Secretary, GoI, NRCP, Director, Guwahati will also speak on the occasion. There would be an interactive session with the media persons. ED (PDLS) will present a vote of thanks.
