A five-day training programme for cooperative officials from various districts of Bihar commenced on Sunday at the LINAC auditorium of the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) in Gurugram.
The programme, being held from October 6 to 10, aims to strengthen cooperative leadership and enhance understanding of the government’s initiatives promoting economic participation and empowerment through cooperatives.
On the opening day, Jay Prakash Singh, Head of Cooperative Services at the Bhartiya Beej Sahakari Samiti Ltd., New Delhi, addressed the participants as the guest faculty. He spoke on the philosophy and relevance of cooperation in ensuring prosperity and farmers’ economic inclusion.
The session also focused on the Government of India’s efforts to boost cooperative development and the significance of the upcoming International Year of Cooperatives 2025 (IYC2025).
NCDC officials, including Shri Anupam Jain and Smt. Shweta, attended the inaugural session and encouraged participants to make the most of the training.
