The National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) conferred the NCDC Regional Awards for Cooperative Excellence and Merit-2025 on ten outstanding primary cooperative societies from Telangana, recognising their significant contribution to strengthening the cooperative movement at the grassroots level.

The awardees represented a diverse range of sectors, including Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), Women’s Cooperative Societies, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs), Handloom Cooperatives, and societies actively implementing initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation. Their selection reflects innovation in governance, financial discipline, member participation, and inclusive growth models that have enhanced rural livelihoods.

The awards were presented by K. Surendra Mohan, APC & Secretary, Agriculture & Cooperation, Government of Telangana, in the presence of senior officials including the Managing Director of the Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank and officers from the Cooperation Department.

The ceremony highlighted the growing role of cooperatives in driving sustainable development and economic empowerment across Telangana.
