National Cooperative Development Corporation held its 228th meeting of the board of management under the chairmanship of Union Ministry of Cooperation’s Secretary Gyanesh Kumar.
During the meeting, NCDC MD and Additional Secretary Pankaj Bansal felicitated Kumar with a bouquet and a memento in the presence of senior officials of NCDC. On this occasion, Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies Vijay Kumar was also present.
The discussions were also held about the activities of NCDC during the meeting.
NCDC is actively making efforts in strengthening the roots of the cooperative movement of the country and also playing an important role in capacity development of women cooperatives. As per the data available, NCDC disbursed 5,715 crore to women cooperatives.
Besides, it is also active in achieving the vision of the government of India constructing the world’s largest grain storage in the cooperative sector. An MoU has been signed between NBCC and Nabard in this regard.
NCDC achieved a turnover of Rs 41,031 crore in 2022-23 and made efforts to touch the figure of Rs 50,000 crore at the end of the current financial year.
