National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has bestowed awards on two Cooperative Societies of J&K for their outstanding performance in the cooperative sector, reports local media.
Primary agriculture cooperative societies had been selected by NCDC for the awards. The awards giving function was attended by scores of cooperative officials. Managing Director NCDC, Sandeep Naik also attended the function, says the daily.
Speaking on the occasion, officials called upon cooperative societies to diversify and improve their services so that more and more people could be covered by them.
NCDC officials said the giving away of awards will bring about a change in the work- ethic of cooperative societies.
