In a major boost to women’s empowerment and rural development, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has sanctioned a short-term working capital loan of Rs 3,000 crore to Rajasthan Mahila Nidhi Credit Cooperative Federation Limited.
The loan has been approved under the Central Scheme – NCDC Grant-in-Aid, and will directly benefit members of women’s Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across Rajasthan.
Officials stated that this support is not merely financial assistance but a step towards empowering women, strengthening the rural economy, and advancing the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).
By providing accessible credit, the initiative is expected to enhance income-generating activities, promote entrepreneurship among women, and create sustainable livelihoods in rural areas.
