National Consumer Day was observed with a renewed emphasis on the role of informed and empowered consumers in nation-building. Reiterating its commitment to consumer welfare, the National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation (NCCF) said fair pricing, assured quality and consumer trust remain central to its operations.
The federation highlighted how cooperatives play a crucial role in protecting consumer interests by ensuring transparency, ethical practices and access to essential goods at reasonable prices.
Officials noted that empowered consumers strengthen markets and promote accountability across supply chains. NCCF continues to work towards a consumer-first approach, aligning cooperative principles with the broader goal of inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
