The National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India (NCCF) highlighted key government initiatives to strengthen farmer–market linkages during Agriculture Festival 2026 held in Nashik. The festival focused on empowering farmers and consumers by promoting transparent and efficient procurement mechanisms.
Through the Price Support Scheme (PSS), the e-Samyukti portal and the JANAH brand promoted by NCCF, government procurement processes are being reinforced to ensure better price realization for farmers. These platforms aim to directly connect farmers with markets, reduce intermediaries and improve access to assured procurement.
Officials said the initiatives showcased at the festival underline the government’s commitment to strengthening cooperative-led procurement and marketing systems. By leveraging digital platforms and cooperative brands, NCCF is working to enhance market access, stabilize prices and build confidence among farmers, while also ensuring quality produce for consumers.
