The apex body of consumer cooperatives- NCCF successfully conducted a one-day training workshop for tur-growing farmers at the Town Hall in MediniNagar, DaltonGanj, Palamu District inJharkhand last week.

The program was attended by the farmers associated with PACS as well as FPOs. The team of NCCF informed the participants about the farming of Tur.

The farmers, who attended the program, also shared their experiences saying “It was a fruitful program and these kinds of training workshops should be organized in the future too. Such a program provides better knowledge to the farmers”, they said.

It bears recalling that the two cooperatives-Nafed and NCCF developed a portal for registration, procurement, and payment of tur dal-producing farmers.

The portal is facilitating the farmers in selling tur dal and that they are also getting payment at MSP through DBT.
