The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE), under the aegis of NCUI, organized a Leadership Development Programme for Chairpersons and Directors of Sugar Cooperatives of India from September 2 to 4, 2025, at its headquarters in New Delhi.
Participants from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Karnataka, and several other states took part in the programme.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Mrs. Savitri Singh, Deputy Chief Executive, NCUI; Prakash Naiknavare, Managing Director, NFCSF; and Manish Sanghani, Youth Committee Member, NCUI.
Formally inaugurating the programme, Singh highlighted its objectives, the importance of leadership in cooperative governance, and the role of knowledge-sharing. She urged participants to implement the insights gained to strengthen their cooperatives at the grassroots level.
Sanghani underscored the significance of the slogan “Sahkar Se Samridhi” in India’s cooperative movement, sharing valuable lessons from Gujarat’s cooperative success stories.
In his engaging session, Naiknavare addressed the challenges faced by sugarcane cooperatives and proposed practical solutions. He emphasized the NFCSF’s role in supporting cooperatives and called for strategic measures to boost farmers’ incomes while enhancing operational efficiency.
The programme provided a valuable platform for learning, exchange of experiences, and strengthening leadership capacity among sugar cooperative leaders across the country.
