The National Centre for Cooperative Education (NCCE) on Wednesday commenced the contact classes for the 30th Diploma in Cooperative Education and Development, marking the transition of the 12-week programme from online learning to in-person sessions.
The Diploma, which began on 6 October 2025 in virtual mode, has now entered its physical phase, with 36 participants attending the programme.
As part of the contact classes, participants will undertake study visits to leading cooperative institutions in Delhi and Punjab. These field exposures aim to provide practical understanding of cooperative functioning, complementing the theoretical knowledge acquired during the online sessions.
The day began with an interaction session where Smt. Savitri Singh, Deputy Chief Executive, NCUI, welcomed the participants and outlined the objectives, structure and expectations of the Diploma. She emphasised the importance of professional capacity building for strengthening the cooperative movement.
Dr. K.K. Tripathi, IES, Joint Secretary, delivered a special address on “Rising in Unison: Realising Sahakar Se Samriddhi”. His session covered key themes such as cooperative principles, the strengths and challenges of the cooperative movement, India’s vision of Viksit Bharat @ 47, major initiatives of the Ministry of Cooperation, and the roadmap for achieving a USD 1 trillion contribution from the cooperative sector to the national economy.
The inaugural session set an inspiring tone for the upcoming weeks of learning, discussions and field engagement.
