Ashok Dhawad, former Congress MLA from South Nagpur, has been booked for the Rs 38.75 crore cooperative bank scam by EOW, reports Times of India.
Dhawad, was chairman of Navodaya Urban Cooperative Bank at Dhantoli presently under liquidation.
Sixteen other former directors of the bank are also involved in the scam.
The scam came to light when an audit was conducted for financial years 2015-16 and 2016-17.
