The govt of India has ordered that all fertiliser bags, under the ‘One Nation One Fertiliser’ scheme as part of the Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janurvarak Pariyojna (PMBJP), will carry a message from Prime Minister Narendra Modi calling upon farmers to decrease the use of chemical fertilisers and preserve Mother Earth, media reports say.
The message is intended to encourage farmers into using options like organic, Nano, and biofertilizers, and shifting to natural and organic farming.
PM-PRANAM was first announced in the FY24 Budget by the central government.
