Nashik Merchants’ Co-op Bank: Candidates seek MNS Chief support

The team of Sahakar Panel contesting elections in the Nashik Merchants’ Cooperative Bank met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray at his residence at Krishna Kunj, Mumbai on Monday.

The panel have a detailed discussions with the MNS Chief on the strategy to win. The election slated for 23rd of December. The delegation included Gajanan Nana Shelkar, Bhaskar Aaba Kothawade, Ashok Kaka, MNS Nashik District President Anantrao Suryavanshi and others were also present.

It bears recall that MNS District President Anantrao Suryavanshi has filed his nomination from Sahakar Panel. It is being reported that there are four panels in fray.

There were 328 nominations filed in different categories when the last date of filing nomination ended but only 200 nomination papers were found valid during the scrutiny.

According to the details available with us,“ Only 67 nominations from General, 11 from SC/ST and 22 from women categories were found valid in the scrutiny. Final list of contesting candidates is expected to be released by 11:00 A.M tomorrow.

More than 1.76 lakhs members are eligible to cast vote. The polling would take place on 23rd of December, results would be announced on 28th December.

Nashik Merchant’s Cooperative (NAMCO) Bank was established on 11 June 1959 and is having 81 branches across the state of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana.
