Nanasaheb Patil, senior leader in the cooperative and banking sector and Chairman of Dattaji Patil Cooperative Bank, was conferred with the inaugural Samarth Ratna Sahakarita Award in Nashik, media reports say.
Instituted by Shri Samarth Cooperative Bank, the award recognises individuals with strong social commitment.
The ceremony was held at Shankaracharya Nyas, where the award was presented by Dr Uday Nirgudkar along with bank office-bearers. Patil’s long-standing contributions to institutions such as NAFED, Lasalgaon Market Committee and cooperative unions earned him this honour.
