Hitavada reports police in Nagpur have arrested 138 persons like scamsters and office- bearers of various organizations and banks including Arvind Cooperative Bank, Shikshak Sahkari Bank, Hokeshwar Multi-state Urban Cooperative credit society and , Samruddhi Jeevan MultI-Purpose Co-Op society.
Police say as many as 57,904 investors have been duped by scamsters to the tune of Rs. 3,68,37,989.
Police sources say they have recovered Rs. 1,47,45,50,934 about 40 percent of the total amount lost. Nearly a dozen offences were related to the banks.
