NAFED will procure 200 tonnes of green gram in Tirupattur district in Tamil Nadu, reports a news outlet quoting an official source.
Urging farmers to avail this opportunity, the district collector said NAFED would pay a minimum support price (MS) of Rs,7,755 per quintal of green gram and that the amount would be credited directly to the bank accounts of farmers.
According to the collector, farmers interested in the scheme should approach the supervisors in Vaniyambadi and Tirupattur with copies of the revenue records. The procurement would continue till December 29.
