Nafed renews MoU with Global Pulse Confederation

The Agri cooperative Nafed renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Global Pulse Confederation (GPC) during the Pulses 2020 Convention held in Dubai last week.

Nafed Chairman Bijendra Singh and GPC President Cindy Brown signed an MoU in the presence of Agri cooperative Vice-Chairman Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh, Dr. Chandra Pal Singh, MD, Rajbir Singh, Additional MD Sunil Kumar Singh, and others.

The MOU was signed with GPC, outlining the areas of mutual cooperation, among other things, provisions for sharing of knowledge and information as well as collaboration in the promotion of conferences, events, and activities aimed at increasing pulse production and consumption, said one of the participants.

NAFED, an entity under the Ministry of Agriculture, is an apex organization of marketing cooperatives for agricultural produce in the country, and hence a key strategic partner for the GPC, the premier association for the global pulses industry value chain.

Soon after the singing of the MoU, the news was shared through the Twitter wall.
