Union Minister of Food and Public Distribution Ram Vilas Paswan said high onion prices are temporary and cooperatives like Nafed and NCCF are supplying onions especially in the price sensitive Delhi market, reports Hindu.
Onions are selling in the range of Rs 50-60 per kg in some parts of the country.
The unusual spurt in onion prices is due to floods in onion growing states like Maharashtra and Karnataka.
