The agri cooperative Nafed Managing Director Rajbir Singh paid a courtesy call on Acharya Devvrat, Governor of Gujarat on Wednesday at Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar.
On this occasion, Singh presented the Millets Hamper specially prepared by NAFED for the promotion of the International Year of Millets – 2023.
Soon after the meet, the official twitter handle of Nafed shared the details and photographs.
Later, NAFED signed an MoU with Gujarat University, Ahmedabad in the presence of the Governor for Capacity Building, FPO Formation, Facilitate Market Linkages and Promotion of Natural Farming in the State. MoU was signed by MD, NAFED and VC of Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
Readers would recall that last month Nafed signed an MoU with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare to boost the initiative envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promote Millets towards the celebration of the International Year of Millets 2023.
