The agri cooperative- NAFED has successfully formed 1,200 plus Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and 500 plus Fisheries Cooperative Societies.
It bears recalling that the Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare has designated NAFED as the fourth nodal agency for the formation and development of FPOs under the Central Sector Scheme.
With this official recognition, NAFED is expected to take on an even more proactive role in empowering farmers, strengthening their collective bargaining power, and enhancing market access for their agricultural produce.
